Recently I wrote an article called 'Style and Dance' and this time Its style related to cooking.
Earlier today, while I was cooking Lamb Curry for my son's 2nd Birthday bash, as I put in each ingredient, waited for the fragrance, i realised that Its the same with style. How?
Well, not every spice is good with all dishes so in terms of style, not all fashion trends suit everyone and not every style goes with everyone. In cooking, we need to take a little bit of each spice and make it our special flavour; same with style, A little bit here and there and add something special on top to make it an individual's own style!
I learnt at home ( when I wasn't married and dad found it necessary for me to learn cooking) that to make it more tempting, garnishing the curry with some chopped coriander leaves and in some cases, a couple of boiled eggs cut into quarters was a nice way of serving food to guests. Accessorising the outfit with a belt, neckpiece and bangles and killer heels would make it exclusive to one's style!
Going back to the basics, in India, the base of our most of our dishes are finely chopped onions and tomatoes, and then we mix in all the spices. Style starts of with a basic item and then mixing it with other pieces that make it stylish!
So, my curry's turned out delicious!
Keep it stylish! :)
